Abstract

The preparation of Ag/Al2O3 catalysts by nonhydrolytic sol–gel process leads to highly efficient HC-deNOx materials thanks to the silver ability to diffuse toward the surface. The presence of niobium as co-catalyst, with a Nb content comprised between 1 and 3 wt%, enhances the NO reduction efficiency at low temperatures (<250 °C).
