On the two-photon quantum Rabi model at the critical coupling strength

Abstract

In this paper, an investigation on the two-photon quantum Rabi model at the critical coupling strength as a function of a control parameter \(\delta \in \left[ 0,1\right]\) is treated. This control parameter is introduced to interpolate between the discrete and continuous spectrum regimes. Based on the proposed model, the theoretical effective hamiltonian in the optical phase-space representation is derived by using an appropriate unitary transformation. A numerical treatment is used to better explore the obtained effective hamiltonian. We have discussed the special feature, spectral collapse, as a function of the control parameter \(\delta\) at the critical coupling strength. Also, the mean photon number in the ground-state as a function of this control parameter is studied. At the last, we have used Wigner function to follow the negativity of the ground-state of the system in our proposal.
