Volkswagen and BP plan to jointly accelerate the expansion of fast-charging stations for electric vehicles in Germany, the UK and other European countries. The two companies have signed a letter of intent for their cooperation, with concrete details to be agreed in the coming months. According to the companies, the goal is to build a network of fast-charging stations at Aral service stations in Germany and at BP service stations in other European countries. Aral had only recently announced the installation of 500 charging points at over 120 stations by the end of the year.
