Abstract

Photocatalytic dye degradation technology is an energy-saving, environmentally friendly and sustainable technology, so that it has been extensively studied. In this study, the TiO2/Zeolite-Y/g-C3N4 photocatalyst was prepared by the sol–gel method, and nanofibrous membranes containing the photocatalyst was prepared by the electrospraying combined electrospinning technology for dye wastewater treatment. The nanofibrous membranes containing photocatalyst can be easily removed from dye wastewater compared with the use of the photocatalyst without nanofibrous membranes. The methylene blue (MB) adsorption efficiency of 79.16% by TiO2/Zeolite-Y/g-C3N4(0.3) photocatalyst under dark environment for 180 min, which is significantly higher than P25 (6.13%). Moreover, the TiO2/Zeolite-Y/g-C3N4(0.3) photocatalyst has the highest MB removal efficiency (90.74%) under visible light for 180 min, which is significantly higher than P25 (7.51%). Finally, the MB removal efficiency of the TiO2/Zeolite-Y/g-C3N4 / Nylon 6,6 nanofibrous membranes under visible light is higher than that of the pure Nylon 6,6 nanofibrous membrane, which proves that the composited photocatalyst is successfully combined with the nanofibrous membrane, and can effectively remove MB.
