Progress in Turbulence - Fundamentals and Applications

The series Progress in Turbulence publishes new developments and advances in the Turbulence, rapidly and informally but with a high quality. Turbulence presents a large number of aspects and problems, which are still unsolved and which challenge research communities in engineering as well as in physical and mathematical sciences both in fundamental and applied research. The very wide interest in turbulence is not only based on it being a difficult scientific problem but also on the important influence that turbulent flows have in the technical world and our daily life. The intent is to cover fundamental research as well as research related to applications of turbulence, technical and methodological issues, and multidisciplinary aspects. The series comprises three strands: monographs, conference/workshop proceedings and reviews on progress in turbulence research to appear once every 4 years. Of particular value to both the contributors and the readership are the short publication time frame and the worldwide distribution, which enable both wide and rapid dissemination of research output.
