Abstract

The reliability block diagram is a method used to analyze systems and assess their reliability. It includes a graphical representation of the system and equations that can be used to analyze the reliability of the system. The blocks represent the groups of components or the smallest entities of the system, which are not further divided, i.e., components of the system. If the individual components of a system are connected in series, the failure of any component causes the system to fail. If the individual components of a system are connected in parallel, the failures of all components cause the system to fail.
