Abstract

Due to a variety of possible activities, which passengers are able to follow in a self-driving vehicle, we are convinced that the flexibility of mobility as a service allows offering different theme-taxis. Within the project UNICARagil (founded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany), we develop a concept for theme taxis. Since the aspired vehicle concept regarded in the project opts for an optimal interior-space, a taxi for work purpose is suggested.
In this paper, we present the requirements for the fully automated driverless taxi and a resulting interior concept. The focus of the requirement specification are the fundamental needs of the passengers to safely enter and leave the vehicle and the possibilities to use time during a ride efficiently. Another main aspect of the requirements is the well-being of the passengers during their entire stay in the vehicle.
