Abstract

With the rapid development of the electric vehicle industry, the charging interoperability problems are becoming more and more serious, and the requirements for charging reliability and safety are also getting higher and higher. AC charging is widely used because of easy to install and operate. Based on the existing AC charging system, this paper analyzed each charging state including the connection confirmation phase, charge ready phase, startup and charging phase, shutdown phase during the AC charging process. The interoperability test use cases of the vehicle and AC charging equipment were proposed. Through the construction of the interoperability test system, PWM signal parameters, the voltage of detection points, the transition between each state and the simulation of the abnormal faults for the vehicle and AC charging equipment were completed. Test results shown that the charging matching degree between the vehicle and the AC charging equipment using these protection strategies was improved. These effective measures minimized the safety risk and strengthen prevention capability of the charging process.
