Autonomous cooperating logistic processes seem to be a promising approach to increase the robustness of logistics systems. Searching for the necessary organizational prerequisites for the successful implementation and sustainment of autonomous cooperating logistic processes we pick up the concept of robustness and use the New Systems Theory to outline a notion of organizational robustness, which can be regarded as an important factor enabling businesses to adopt innovations in spite of related uncertainties.
