We have a family tradition that is celebrated every summer during the Virginia Tech Basketball Camp. At the end of each day’s activities, our grandchildren who are attending the camp sit around our kitchen table and talk while eating Oreo cookies and drinking cold milk. They discuss their successes and failures while taking the cookies and dipping them in their milk. As the milked soaked cookies are eaten, we hear signs of satisfaction and discussions of the proper dipping techniques. This past summer we had three grandchildren gathered around the table and Mamaw had purchased double stuffed cookies which Hunter, our rising seventh grader, promptly disassembled and then reassembled the stuffing covered portions from two cookies to form a quadruple stuffed cookie which he dipped and devoured.
