The BMW Vision Neue Klasse concept car shows a reduced design language: The strikingly designed body of the mid-size sedan gets by with few lines, emphasizing the BMW kidney on the “shark nose” front and the Hofmeister kink in the side window graphics. The angular and closed BMW kidney extends across the entire width and integrates LED dual headlights. Sensor surfaces are located in the lower area of the side windows, which can be used to activate automatic door opening. The aerodynamic wheels are 21", and the wide and high-set taillights were produced using a 3D printing process. On the subject of drive, BMW promises 30 % more range, 30 % faster charging and 25 % improved efficiency for the sixth-generation eDrive technology compared to the current e-drive. The newly developed round battery cells are also to be used for the first time.
