Students’ Inclination and Preferences for Tahfiz Program in UiTM

Abstract

Tahfiz education is currently gaining significant attention among Malaysians. The establishment of both government and private tahfiz schools underscores the integration of tahfiz education into the mainstream educational landscape of Malaysia. This research aims to gauge students’ interest in the tahfiz program and assess its future relevance. The findings will shed light on the program’s relevance and potentially garner government support. For this purpose, a questionnaire was designed and distributed to potential participants. Out of the 328 responses collected and analyzed, it was revealed that 72.5% of respondents are inclined to enroll in the tahfiz program if it is offered at the University of Technology MARA, Kelantan Branch.
