Even though 400-V drive solutions continue to be very important for the mass market, the future still lies in 800-V solutions, if the level of the total costs can be brought to a similar level. In this interview with ATZelectronics, Gerd Rösel and Markus Hackelsperger from Vitesco Technologies say that high voltage and low losses are strong arguments for further success of electrification, even outside of the performance class.
Dr.-Ing. Gerd Rösel is Head of Innovation in the business unit Electrification Technology at Vitesco Technologies. The chartered engineer already held management positions at Continental in the area of system development.

Markus Hackelsperger is Head of Product Group Management in the business unit Electronic Controls at Vitesco Technologies. The electrical and electronics engineer helped to establish and develop high-voltage charging technology for PHEV and EVs at Continental and now at Vitesco Technologies.
