Abstract

The transformation of the microstructure of a 65G thermostrengthened steel zone surfaced with an electrode with a low-carbon rod has a complex character. Higher hardness values of individual regions increase abrasive wear resistance of the component. The presence of the melting zone provides resistance of the surfaces region to the crack formation. The use of electrodes with a low-carbon rod is reasonable for the surfacing reinforcement of thermostrengthened steels.
