Twisted F-Shaped Slot Loaded UWB Printed Antenna for On-Body Application

Abstract

Compact UWB antenna manufactured in twisted F form with slots loaded is exhibited. An ultra-wideband 3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz with modified ground plane is offered by the printed antenna, which has two twisted F-shaped slots. A three-layered rectangular phantom model is used to evaluate the effect of the human body on the characteristics of the antenna. A Perfect Electric Conductor (PEC) metal plate supports the proposed UWB antenna to lower the antenna frequency detuning and Specific Abortion Rate (SAR). Antenna design, simulation, fabrication, and testing are all completed for this antenna. On body models and in free space, the constructed UWB antenna experimental findings have been compared to simulations of the results across the band. SAR was lowered from 16.89 W/Kg to 0.062 W/Kg using the PEC-backed antenna.
