Unternehmerische Verantwortung und Nachhaltigkeit – Welche Rolle spielen Geschäftsmodelle?

Zusammenfassung

CSR und Nachhaltigkeit werden in deutschen Unternehmen zunehmend professionell gemanagt. Im Gespräch mit CSR- und Nachhaltigkeitsverantwortlichen treten jedoch häufig zwei Sorgen zutage: zum einen die unmittelbare Abhängigkeit von teils unsicheren Budgets, Markttrends und gesetzlichen Rahmenbedingungen; zum anderen die oftmals fehlende Verknüpfung mit dem Kerngeschäft. Ein Lösungsansatz besteht darin, die Übernahme gesellschaftlicher Verantwortung mit positiven Beiträgen zum Geschäftserfolg zu verknüpfen. In diesem Zusammenhang rückt ein Konzept des strategischen Managements und des Innovationsmanagements zunehmend in den Fokus: das Geschäftsmodell. Dieser Beitrag geht den Ursprüngen der Verknüpfung von CSR, Nachhaltigkeit und Geschäftsmodellen nach und zeigt anhand von aktuellen Instrumenten und Fallbeispielen Möglichkeiten für die Entwicklung von Geschäftsmodellen für unternehmerische Verantwortung und Nachhaltigkeit. Die zugrundeliegende These ist, dass die gezielte Entwicklung von Geschäftsmodellen und deren Management wesentlich zur Verstetigung von CSR- und Nachhaltigkeitsaktivitäten beitragen können.
