At the end of 2019, the European Commission presented the European Green Deal as a new growth strategy, which has the goal of no longer releasing net greenhouse gas emissions in 2050 [1]. As a result, the mobility sector is facing the challenge of drastically reducing traffic-related CO2 emissions, leading to even greater importance of powertrain electrification in the future [2]. This can be achieved not only through the use of a battery but also through fuel cells. In mobile applications, the Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell, which uses hydrogen as fuel, is most common. If the hydrogen is produced using renewable energies, those vehicles, just like battery electric ones, also emit neither CO2 nor other pollutants [3]. …
