The famous lecture on nanotechnology presented by Nobel Prize laureate Richard Feynman at Caltech in 1959 is generally considered as the beginning of the nanotechnology era [1]. He talked about miniaturization of engines, computers, small-scale recording of information, biological systems, and about nano-structured materials and forces determining the behavior of objects on the nano-scale. Currently, nano-materials are in the focus of interest of many researchers and nano-filled polymers have been used in a variety of applications for a long time (e.g., tires).
