6. Was so alles von ADHS behauptet wird

Zusammenfassung

Viele Tausende wissenschaftliche Studien glauben irgendeine hirnbetreffende Besonderheit bei angeblichen ADHS-Patienten gefunden zu haben. Besonders das Hirnvolumen wurde intensiv untersucht. Dabei wurden aber meistens Ursachen und Folgen verwechselt. Die Forscher bewegten sich bislang vergleichsweise so, als wenn sie die Gehirne von Verliebten untersuchten, alle möglichen erstaunlichen Veränderungen feststellten und dann als Ursache dieser Veränderungen eine Hirnkrankheit namens „Liebeswahn“ festmachen würden. ADHS gilt als unheilbar, aber auch hierfür gibt es keine verlässlichen Belege. Molekulargenetische Befunde können die genetische Ursache nicht bestätigen.
