The second Annual European Rheology Conference (AERC 2005) was held in Grenoble, France, on April 21–23, 2005. It took place on the University of Grenoble campus. It was organised by the “Laboratoire de Rheologie,” on behalf of the French Rheology Group, with support from the “European Society of Rheology,” the “Université Joseph Fourier,” the “Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble,” the “Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique” and with the help of our sponsors. The conference was attended by 435 participants from 31 countries. It offered 5 plenary lectures, 3 keynote lectures, 203 oral presentations organised in 5 parallel sessions and 152 poster contributions. …
