Zusammenfassung

Augmented-, Mixed- und Virtual Reality sind immersive Technologien. Mittels Virtual Reality lassen sich komplett virtuelle Welten erzeugen, in die die Nutzerin (In diesem Kapitel wird durchgehend die grammatikalisch weibliche Bezeichnung verwendet. Damit sind alle Geschlechter gemeint) eintauchen kann. Die Augmented- und Mixed Reality Technologie ermöglicht es Virtuelle Objekte in der realen Umgebung von Nutzerinnen einzubetten. Durch die kontinuierliche Entwicklung an der Hard- und Software dieser Technologien über die letzten Jahrzehnte ist ein Einsatz der Technologien für Dienstleistungsinnovationen in naher Zukunft vorstellbar geworden. In diesem Kapitel wird näher auf die Charakteristika und Unterscheidungsmerkmale der einzelnen Technologien eingegangen.
