Abstract

In this chapter we concentrate on analysis of talent attraction, talent development and talent retention in Brazilian companies. We discuss what Brazilian companies should focus on to be able to create innovative talent management practices in preference to existing talent management approaches that are sometimes not applicable in the Brazilian context. In this chapter we present cases of Brazilian companies in which practices of recruitment and selection, training and talent retention are evidenced. By means of the cases it is possible to perceive the influence of the Brazilian institutional environment in the management strategies of people of the Brazilian companies.
