Comparison of Wind Energy Systems with TSR & HCS-Based ANFIS MPPT Controller

Abstract

The performance of grid-interconnected wind energy system is presented in this paper. In wind energy conversion system (WECS), maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is used in addition with DC DC boost converter to extract maximum power from wind system. The hill climb search (HCS) and power tip speed ratio (TSR) MPPT techniques are compared with the adaptive neuro-fuzzy interference system (ANFIS) control technique. The inverter is employed with ANFIS controller. The whole system implemented and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink software.
