9. Das Individuum in der Organisation: Motivation und Verhalten

Zusammenfassung

Im Kap. 9 wird der Frage nachgegangen, was Individuen dazu motiviert, bestimmte Verhaltensweisen in der Arbeit zu zeigen und wie sich diese Verhaltensweisen systematisch erklären, analysieren und beeinflussen lassen. Dazu wird zunächst der Zusammenhang zwischen Motivation und der Vorstellung von Arbeit hergestellt, die dem Motivieren zugrunde liegt, sowie der performative Charakter von Motivationstheorien erläutert. Motivation wird als Konstrukt vorgestellt, nach Beschreibung der historischen Entwicklung der Motivationsforschung wird das Feld der Motivationstheorien anhand der Unterscheidung von Prozess-, Inhalts- und Kontexttheorien strukturiert. Entlang dieser Unterscheidung werden im weiteren Verlauf des Kapitels ausgewählte Ansätze vorgestellt und diskutiert. Im Bereich der Prozesstheorien liegt der Fokus auf dem Erwartungs-Valenz-Modell und den Zielmotivationstheorien, als Inhaltstheorien werden die Bedürfnishierarchie, das Zwei-Faktoren-Modell und das Konzept der intrinsischen Motivation vorgestellt, wohingegen die Kontexttheorien anhand der klassischen Work Design-Ansätze und auf der Basis von Ansätzen zur relationalen und proaktiven Arbeitsgestaltung diskutiert werden.
