Partial and conditional driving automation systems are still relying on human capabilities and set minimum requirements on the corresponding driver state. In the FAT project “DySAM - Dynamic measurement and assessment of situation awareness in automated driving” (FAT publication series 379) the department Human Factors of Ulm University (UUlm) and Humatects jointly developed an algorithm that can be used to estimate situation awareness in real time. …
