In den letzten Jahrzehnten hat eine Moralisierung des Alltagskonsums stattgefunden. Während sich die Konsumenten in den Nachkriegsjahren zumeist an Preis und Qualität, später in den 1980er- und 1990er-Jahren an Marken und Lebensstilkriterien orientierten, scheinen heute zunehmend ökologische, soziale und politische Charakteristika von Produkten an Bedeutung zu gewinnen (Stolle und Micheletti 2013). In Deutschland haben sich die Pro-Kopf-Ausgaben für fair gehandelte Produkte von 62 Cent im Jahre 2001 auf knapp 5 Euro im Jahr 2010 verachtfacht (Fairtrade International 2011; TransFair 2001). Im gleichen Zeitraum stiegen die Pro-Kopf-Ausgaben für Bio-Produkte von 31 auf 73 Euro, was 2010 einem Marktanteil von knapp 3,5 % aller Ausgaben für Lebensmittel entsprach (Willer und Kilcher 2012). …
