Zusammenfassung

Angetrieben durch Fortschritte im Bereich der künstlichen Intelligenz (KI) kommen auf Online-Plattformen zunehmend Chatbots zum Einsatz, die mit Nutzern automatisiert mittels natürlicher Sprache kommunizieren können. Zielsetzung dieses Beitrags ist es darzustellen, wie Chatbots im vertrieblichen Kontext und E-Commerce gewinnbringend eingesetzt werden können. Hierfür werden die grundlegende Funktionsweise und Potenziale von Chatbots anhand von drei Anwendungsszenarios genauer vorgestellt: (i) Chatbots zur Lead-Generierung, (ii) Chatbots als Shopping-Assistenten und (iii) Chatbots als Assistenten im Customer Service. Zusätzlich diskutiert dieser Beitrag Herausforderungen und Grenzen beim Einsatz aktueller Chatbots im vertrieblichen Kontext und E-Commerce.
