Abstract

Introducing, distinguishing and correcting the observed defections in swirl-pressurized atomizers, applicable in cruise missiles, are the main purpose of this experimental work. Twenty sets of twelve reversed engineering atomizers infected with various defections which cannot perform correctly were considered. A set of eight original atomizers without any defections is used to not only identify and illuminate the defections, but also to provide and approve of the atomizers’ performance. In this work, over 350 tests performed for both two sets mostly repeated tests to identify the problems and make the corrections to perform as well as the original ones.
