In exhaust gas recirculation systems, the gaskets used to seal the components that the exhaust gas passes through have to meet high standards of quality, including resistance to high temperatures and aggressive substances. An additional requirement in low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation processes is the use of a filter to protect the turbocharger from mechanical damage caused by solid particles.
