Abstract

The present work discusses sensing behavior of graphene/polyaniline nanocomposite (GR/PANI) film. The graphene/PANI ratio in the nanocomposite polymer film is optimized at 7:3. The film is characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) as well Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and UV spectrophotometer. The sensing behavior of the film is analyzed at room temperature for 27 ppm NH3 gas and in air. The nanocomposite GR/PANI film has exhibited a good sensing behavior in terms of sensor response. Also, the sensitivity of the sensor for 27 ppm of pure NH3 gas was 21.3%; the response and recovery time are 38 and 56 s, respectively.
