Dr. Ray A. Dickie, the former Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Coatings Technology and Research (JCTR) and current Emeritus Editor, passed away on April 15, 2017 in Efland, North Carolina. Ray received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin where he worked with Professor John Ferry. He completed postdoctoral research in at the University of Glasgow and the Stanford Research Institute. He joined the Ford Motor Company in 1968 and spent almost 30 years conducting research in the areas of polymers, coatings, corrosion, and adhesives. …
