Dr. Carsten Russner, Managing Director of Kyocera Fineceramics Precision based in Selb, Germany, was unanimously elected as the new President of the European Technical Ceramics Federation (EuTeCer) on December 10, 2021. He thus also represents technical ceramics on the Cerame-Unie presidium. "I am honored to preside over such a dynamic and innovative industry on an international level," says a delighted Dr. Carsten Russner. "As the new president, I would like to strengthen communication within the individual sectors in Europe so that we can benefit from each other in the future." What spoke in favour of the managing director of the Kyocera subsidiary specialized in fine ceramics was his more than 30 years of professional experience and the resulting technical expertise, as well as his academic background. Russner holds a PhD in mechanical engineering, a degree in quality specialist engineering and in mechanical engineering. His activities also include the deputy chairmanship of the Technical Ceramics Group in the VKI (Ceramic Industry Association).
