Research on social justice as well as research on categorization as well as intergroup relations have long histories within social psychology. However, there has been little research relating social justice concerns and intergroup relations until now. If justice matters deeply to people, addressing justice issues might help to understand not only interpersonal relationships, but also different types of intergroup conflict and their “mild” and strong expressions, such as dehumanization and aggression. …
