At the request of Customer Needs and Solutions, John A. Quelch reflects on a few wide-ranging issues raised by the Journal’s editorial board members. John is the Leonard M. Miller University Professor and Vice Provost at the University of Miami and Dean of Miami Herbert Business School. He is also the Charles Edward Wilson Professor of Business Administration Emeritus at Harvard Business School. Between 2011 and 2013, John was Dean, Vice President, and Distinguished Professor of International Management at CEIBS. Between 2001 and 2011, he was the Lincoln Filene Professor of Business Administration and Senior Associate Dean at Harvard Business School. He served as Dean of London Business School from 1998 to 2001. Prior to 1998, he was the Sebastian S. Kresge Professor of Marketing and Co-Chair of the Marketing Unit at Harvard Business School. During his last tour at Harvard, he held joint primary appointments as a professor at both Harvard Business School and the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. …
