The Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society (JBCS) is a fully open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen; an international journal which serves as a forum for disseminating innovative research in all fields of computer science and related subjects. Contents include theoretical, practical and experimental papers reporting original research contributions, as well as high quality survey papers. Coverage extends to all computer science topics, computer systems development and formal and theoretical aspects of computing, including computer architecture; high-performance computing; database management and information retrieval; computational biology; computer graphics; data visualization; image and video processing; VLSI design and software-hardware codesign; embedded systems; geoinformatics; artificial intelligence; games, entertainment and virtual reality; natural language processing and much more.
The journal went open access in 2014, which means that all articles published since then are freely available online.
