Abstract

King David’s life contained both leadership in crisis and crisis in leadership. David led the Israelite people through several moments of crisis. David also fell to a crisis of leadership during his moral challenges with Bathsheba. Throughout David’s crisis of leadership, Nathan the prophet had the courage to serve, assume responsibility, act morally, challenge, and assist in transformation. Nathan demonstrated the actions of a courageous follower and from these actions provided lessons for modern followers facing a leader’s crisis of leadership.
