Abstract

The apparatus of classical capillarity theory does not explicitly contain the general dimensional equation of its own scalar variables. Introduction of such an equation permits the interpretation of experimental physical quantities characterizing the bulk phases from the point of view of the capillary interaction. Eötvös’s law is one of the basic empirical equations of capillarity relating to the molar-free energy of the free liquid surface. The extended theory also enables Eötvös’s Law to be deduced in a relatively simple way, proving that the heuristic potential of this parametric method goes beyond the limits of traditional theory.
