Abstract

The strength design of the high-speed maglev train lacks specific methods, and analysis mainly refers to standards of traditional wheel-rail technology, which cannot meet the requirements to high-speed maglev development. An efficient structure strength evaluation method for high-speed maglev trains is proposed based on the Shanghai high-speed maglev system. The combined operation conditions are first constructed by linear superposition and combination of single operation conditions. Through the maglev train aerodynamics analysis and vehicle system dynamics, the numerical definitions of various defined conditions are completed. The structural strength and load flow analysis are accomplished by the finite element strength analysis. The test verification and actual measurements are included in the theoretical analysis. The structure strength evaluation method of high-speed maglev trains is developed to provide the better calculation method of maglev vehicle strength.
