Abstract

The article presents the preparation and characterization of a HEMA-co-VAm/PDA@GO/PSf membrane designed for enhanced CO2 separation. The study highlights the synthesis of a homopolymer using n-vinyl formamide and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, and the modification of graphene oxide with dopamine. The resulting mixed matrix membranes show improved gas permeance and selectivity, with the optimum performance achieved at a 2.0 wt% nanofiller content. The effects of operating conditions, such as feed gas pressure and temperature, on membrane performance are also investigated. The membrane exhibits excellent stability over extended testing periods, making it a promising candidate for CO2 capture applications.
