To mark the 50th anniversary of the Countach, Automobili Lamborghini is launching the Countach LPI 800-4 in early 2022, which will be produced in a limited edition of 112 units. The hybrid powertrain of the supercar, which weighs just under 1.6 t thanks to its monocoque chassis and carbon fiber body, consists of a naturally aspirated V12 engine and a 48-V electric motor mounted directly on the seven-speed automated manual transmission. The gasoline engine with 6.5 l displacement (bore × stroke: 95 × 76.4 mm) produces a maximum of 574 kW (at 8500 rpm) and 720 Nm of torque (at 6750 rpm). The e-motor contributes a further 25 kW and 35 Nm and draws the required energy from a supercapacitor with an energy density of 2400 W/kg and 600 A maximum operating current.
