Evidence-based management has really caught the attention of academics, and here is the book on the topic: Barends and Rousseau's Evidence-Based Management: How to Use Evidence to Make Better Organizational Decisions. Although relatively new, published in late 2018, this book had already been cited 130 times as of 2019. The book is being noticed. The overall topic is receiving attention as well. Google Scholar, which sometimes double counts and sometimes misses things, shows 9070 academic articles including the words "evidence-based management" published in the years 2017, 2018, and 2019. The topic is receiving attention from scholars. Important topic, and is this the one book business ethics scholars should read? We would like to say three cheers, but alas, something important is missing. So we conclude, two cheers for Evidence-Based Management: How to Use Evidence to Make Better Organizational Decisions. The book, and the idea, have many good points but seem to overlook business ethics. It would be a tragedy if we trained the next generation of business leaders to make decisions without thinking of the greater consequences. …
