Abstract

In this paper, the traditional mobile network architecture and softswitch architecture are compared. This paper points out the advantages of the IP based softswitch network architecture and the problems to be solved. Secondly, it introduces three models of IP QoS. Finally, the QoS characteristics supported by media gateway are introduced.
