Abstract

Thermosensitive and photosensitive polymers (PNIPAM-Azo) were synthesized by thiol-ene click reaction with PNIPAM with terminal thiol groups (PNIPAM-SH) and azobenzene compounds containing a double bond. Different catalysts were used in the reaction to investigate their catalytic effect and a photocatalyst was found to have the best effect. The aggregation behavior of PNIPAM-Azo in aqueous solution was studied, which showed that PNIPAM-Azo had good surface activity in aqueous solution, and could form different aggregates at different concentration. Meanwhile PNIPAM-Azo exhibited good light response and thermal response, only the LCST of PNIPAM-Azo increased a little after long time ultraviolet irradiation.
