As a broad-based materials engineering research journal, the Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance owes its success to its valued authors and reviewers. While our authors receive recognition for their contributions through their published works, the thousands of reviewers each year, who voluntarily conduct objective and impartial evaluations of submitted works and provide constructive critiques to improve manuscript quality, work behind the scenes. Publication of quality articles depends upon these exceptional individuals—many themselves authors of JMEP articles—who advance research, innovation, scholarship, and learning. Peer reviewing is not just about scientific accuracy, but also reliability, importance, trust, and accountability.
