Abstract

Development in a country requires in-depth interdisciplinary studies and focusing on various economic, environmental, scientific, technological, political, and social aspects. Nowadays, everybody is aware of the role of technology in the development of sociopolitical relations in the virtual society, though the use of this technology has been neglected in this area. The present study proposes a conceptual model for explaining this issue. To this aim, the only conceptual model in Iran was used as the basis of study and was developed. Then, the use of questionnaire, and correlation and regression analysis, the relationships in the conceptual model were developed and confirmed. The results revealed that the set of factors like transparency, responsiveness, society’s access to information, bridging the digital divide, reducing corruption and focusing on justice can be created in e-government and affect the attitude of people toward the government, as well as their trust and satisfaction. Changing the attitude of people toward the government affects the way where trust in and satisfaction of the government is formed which in turn leads to their loyalty to the government and participation for promoting life quality that considered as the indices of sustainable development.
