Theoretical assessment of iranian nuclear quest: analyzing the contribution of realist concerns at regional level and constructivist reasons at domestic level in the development of nuclear technology in Iran

Abstract

Iran’s nuclear programme can cause nuclear proliferation in the region as well as at the global level that may tilt the balance of power in the region and create havoc at global level. This paper discusses contributions of the Realist concerns at regional level and constructivist reasons at domestic level in the development of nuclear technology in Iran. This study contends that both these reasons and concerns working as important engines of Iran’s nuclear program and its impact on its long-term objectives and regional and international affairs but it reveals that the realist and strategic concerns at regional and global level are most important driver in developing Iran’s nuclear quest. It is concluded that be realistic and try to manage Iranian nuclear drive for only peaceful purposes that would real achievement of the regional and global community.
