Zusammenfassung

Unter  Verwendung des Internet Protocols (IP) wird die Kommunikation zwischen zwei oder mehreren Hosts ermöglicht. Um jedoch pro Host die parallele Kommunikation mehrerer Anwendungen zu ermöglichen, werden weitere Mechanismen benötigt, die sowohl gemäß ISO/OSI-Referenzmodell als auch TCP/IP-Modell auf dem Transport Layer spezifiziert sind.
