Datenqualität und Validität bei Online-Befragungen

Zusammenfassung

In diesem Beitrag zeigen wir, wie sich der Einsatz von Online-Befragungen mit Webfragebögen auf die Datenqualität und Validität der Erhebungsergebnisse auswirkt. Zusätzlich geben wir konkrete Hinweise zur Sicherstellung dieser beiden Kriterien, die in Forschungsdesigns häufig vernachlässigt werden. Datenqualität und Validität sind mehrdimensional und zahlreiche Maßnahmen müssen getroffen werden, um den Anforderungen nach qualitativ hochwertigen Daten und validen Messinstrumenten beziehungsweise Schlussfolgerungen zu entsprechen. Zahlreiche Beispiele illustrieren in welcher Form Probleme vor, während und nach der Erhebung auftreten können. Durch die systematische Zuordnung von Maßnahmen zu Dimensionen der Datenqualität und verschiedenen Validitätsarten wird gezeigt, wie Forscher und Praktiker auf die jeweiligen Kriterien Einfluss nehmen können.
