The introduction of high-voltage on-board electrical systems and high pulsed electric power in the drivetrain tends to lead to higher levels of interference in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and managing this requires appropriate counter-measures to be taken. Research currently being carried out by TU Dortmund University, Hella and the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS in Dresden is focusing on EMC-compliant function development. Modelling and simulation can help to identify potential problems at an early stage.
