Sonderfall: Eine Funktionenfolge <s n > der Form $$ {s_n} = \sum\limits_{k = 0}^n {{f_k}} $$ für alle n∈ℕ, f→ℝm: heißt Partialsummenfolge zur Funktionenreihe$$ \sum\limits_{k = 0}^\infty {{f_k}} $$.Die Konvergenz einer Funktionenfolge bzw -reihe kann zunächst punktweise definiert werden.
